Bill MartinBryan Peterson
Base Site Coordinator, STAT MedEvac 13

Before moving to the York/Lancaster, PA area in order to work at Lancaster General Hospital’s Trauma/ICU Department, Bryan received his Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Thiel College in Greenville, PA.  After several years of gaining experience, Bryan moved to the western Pennsylvania area to fulfill his career aspiration of becoming a flight nurse and started to work for STAT MedEvac.  In 2003, Bryan was asked to move back to York, PA to assist in opening up STAT MedEvac 13.

As the Base Site Coordinator at MedEvac 13, Bryan manages the day to day operations of the base, schedules crews, and works with the Aviation Manager to ensure smooth operations at the base.  Bryan states he enjoys working for STAT MedEvac because, “STAT MedEvac is the world leader in air medical transport and is extremely well respected throughout the industry.  Each day brings a different experience which demands that all staff members be ready for anything.  I truly enjoy the challenges of the very sick patients that we see and the autonomy we are afforded to be able to manage these patients.  The commitment to outstanding patient care and the safety environment is what sets STAT MedEvac apart from other programs.”

Upon his return to York, PA, Bryan also rejoined the Trauma/ICU Department at Lancaster General Hospital to maintain his nursing skills that he does not use frequently in the field.  Bryan is a member of the Air and Surface Transport Nurses Association (ASTNA), American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN), and various regional EMS councils.  Furthermore, he serves on the Board of Directors for West York Ambulance.

Outside of work, Bryan’s main focus is his wife, Melissa, and his two daughters, Kayleigh, 15, and MaKenna, 9.  As a hobby, he also runs 50-70 miles a week.
