Full Time and Casual Flight Paramedic

Responsibilities 

Care of critically ill and injured patients transported by the STAT MedEvac System. Function in the field, aircraft, and hospital environments after an extensive orientation. In summary, responsibilities include patient care, which incorporates advanced assessment, stabilization and intervention skills reflecting current EMT/Paramedic standards; maintenance of aircraft supplies and equipment; and support of other operational duties. Patient care may require independent judgment with utilization of protocols and standards of care. Will accept assignment at any STAT MedEvac base site.

Requirements

» Nationally Registered EMT-P with extensive professional critical care or emergency experience (3 year minimum)

» Current ACLS, ITLS, CPR, PALS, NRP, passport, driver’s license and reliable transportation

» Applicants must work 12-hour or 24-hour shifts, weekends, and holidays

» Cannot exceed 210 lbs. in weight and 6′ 2″ in height

Patient care may require independent judgment with utilization of protocols and standards of care. Will accept assignment at any STAT MedEvac base site.

Requirements

» Pre-Hospital Registered Nurse (PHRN) with extensive critical care unit or emergency department experience (3 year minimum)

» Current ACLS, ITLS, CPR, PALS, NRP, passport, driver’s license and reliable transportation

» Applicants must work 12-hour or 24-hour shifts, weekends, and holidays

» Cannot exceed 210 lbs. in weight and 6′ 2″ in height

Communications Specialist

Responsibilities:

The Communications Specialist will act as a facilitator in providing the necessary assistance to requesting organizations and receiving facilities. This includes obtaining the appropriate information for service and providing any additional assistance necessary to meet the organization’s needs. All responsibilities will be carried out with a positive customer service approach.

Requirements:

» Certified Emergency Medical Technician in the state of Pennsylvania

» Professional appearance and manner

» Excellent communication skills

» Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills

» Driver’s license with reliable transportation

» Associates degree or higher preferred

» Paramedic certification preferred

Minimum Requirements:

» Commercial instrument rotorcraft license

» Current second class medical license

» 2,000 total flight hours

» 1,500 total helicopter flight hours

» 200 night flight hours (at least 100 hours unaided)

» 100 instrument hours

» 500 turbine hours
