40 Under 40: Rising Leaders in Medical Transport Award

Last week, the Association of Air Medical Services announced the winners of the inaugural “40 Under 40: Rising Leaders in Medical Transport” Award. This is a groundbreaking initiative that honors the next generation of trailblazers across the medical transport industry. The nominees were assessed on leadership, professional growth, innovation and excellence, and overall contributions to the industry demonstrated through a written nomination. 

STAT MedEvac is honored to have two employees that were nominated and one recipient.

  • Nicholas has been in EMS for 14 years, starting as a first aid volunteer when he was 14!
  • Other than being in the skies, his other passion is education. Nicholas has developed difficult airway courses, taught continuing education courses, and during COVID, he taught hundreds of hours of online EMS education, mainly from his kitchen in Mount Washington.  Nicholas and Zoom are intimately familiar with each other!
  • He is currently enrolled in a Master’s program for Public Safety Leadership and Administration and will be graduating in May!
  • Nicholas loves to travel (mainly eating his way through the world, actually). He’s been to 5 countries, 20 states, and the US Virgin Islands. He’s tried more unique foods than he can […]

2024 Award for Commitment and Excellence in Service

We are thrilled to announce the recipient of our 2024 Award for Commitment and Excellence in Service (ACES). This prestigious award honors staff who exemplify our five core values, which are the foundation of everything we do.

Congratulations to Tracy Dee, Communications Supervisor for STAT-MD! Tracy received heartfelt nominations from two of her employees, highlighting her exceptional dedication and service. The award was presented to Tracy on Friday, February 28th, while she was impressively multitasking—working a vacant Medical Coordinator shift and training two new medical coordinators.

Tracy’s nomination was filled with praise, including phrases like “above and beyond,” “constantly caring about others,” and “listens with empathy.” These qualities truly embody the spirit of the ACES award.
